In the different cities of the region Emilia-Romagna, with Bologna as captital, we have different kinds of interventions and different philosophies onthe prevention of alcohol and drug use in recreational settings. Before 2005 there was no communication and coordination between the different streetwork teams in the region.Through the Regional Network of Street Units we created a regional network, where we offer training and support for street workers. Now we have periodical meetings, discussions between professionals involved, a regional mailing list, and circulation of information. We even set up a partnership with the University of Bologna to develop a "Master" course for street workers (It will start in June 2009).All the projects in this region have been evaluated and showed positive effects.
